Jack W. Platt

Program Director - MA, MSW, (LCSW, MAC)

Jack Platt has applied his diverse experience to the field of chemical dependency treatment. He has over 30 years of professional experience in this field of work. Jack’s accomplishments include, program development, supervision, training, teaching, counseling and consulting. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of California, Irvine and CSU Fullerton for ten years. He provided training for major corporations including Disneyland, ADP Corp, American Express Corporation, Printronics, and UCI Medical Center.  Jack has also been part time faculty instructor at Cypress and Saddleback Colleges. He has developed symposiums for psychotherapists, psychiatrists and other helping professionals.  Jack holds an M.A., in psychology from Pepperdine University, M.S.W. from USC in Los Angeles, and an undergraduate degree with dual majors in business administration and history.  He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a master's level Certified Alcoholism and Drug Counselor.

Clean and sober since May 1996 worked in treatment over 20 years. Loves to work with clients to get them into treatment thru intake/intervention. Loves Spartan Races, Triathlons and all endurance sports.  Employee of Capo by the Sea since 2001.

My whole life experience has brought me to the place I am today: working with and helping others who are suffering from alcoholism and addiction. With over 10 years of continuous sobriety, I am blessed to be able to work in a field I love and to help others who can benefit from my personal experience with alcoholism and addiction. I am a native of California, born and raised in Los Angeles. I migrated to San Diego and live the dream, living life clean and sober, in Oceanside, CA.

Bill Yates

Therapist - MFT

Bill has 30 years experience as an educator, working in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District in Mission Viejo.

He opened a private practice in San Juan Capistrano in 1980 specializing in the treatment of Children and adolescents suffering with substance abuse

He has worked as a grief counselor at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, which is now Mission Hospital. He has worked as a facilitator with eating disorder patients for over 3 years.

He holds a master's degree in counseling from California State University at Fullerton and has a license to practice Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of California.  He holds four teaching credentials, and a credential in pupil Personnel counseling.

Certifications
He is a member of the California Association of marriage and family therapists. He has Advanced Training at The Institute of rational emotive therapy and is a certified hypnotherapist.  Bill was selected as teacher of the year and 1999 within the Saddleback Valley Unified School District and Ralph Gates School.

Kim Glossbrenner

Clinical Therapist LCSW MA

Kim has been working with addiction and psychiatric disorders for over 20 years. She has an extensive background in working with families and individuals struggling to heal. She has had a private practice in Laguna Hills for 18 years. She has been a guest speaker at FIDM working with students struggling with addiction. She was co-owner and therapist of Discovery Paths, an Eating Disorder Program for over 5 years She has trained interns and provided supervision. She is a member of the National Association of Social Work. Her passion for this field comes from her ability to relate to her clients as she came from a family where addiction was prevalent.

Education / Degrees
Kim earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Social Work, both from CSULB. She received her Clinical Supervision from South Coast Medical Center, where she was lead Therapist/Social Worker for over 15 years.

Certifications
Kim is a Licensed Clinician. She has a private practice in Laguna Hills where she specializes in addiction and psychiatric disorders.

Lisa Bailer

Psychiatric Physician Assistant, MHS

Lisa has experience with inpatient and emergency room psychiatric consulting, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis treatment facilities and outpatient private practice. Prior to finding her passion in Psychiatry, she has had previous experience in Neurosurgery, Oncologic surgery and Gastroenterology. She enjoys educating patients on the mind – body connection, as well as teaching mindfulness to incorporate a more holistic approach to mental health.

Lisa received her Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistant degree from Duke University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.

Terrence Kellerman

Terrence is an internationally certified chemical dependency counselor with a Master’s degree in counseling psychology. He is a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor LAADC NR (LNR1210311) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS CS1081) and a member of the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors (CAADAC). Terrence has over 20 years of experience in the chemical dependency treatment field as well as his own personal knowledge of chemical dependency as a disease and first-hand experience with recovery.
